Moon Days

During the early morning hours at the Lacey Firefly Yoga, you will find a room full of people working on standing on their heads.
Sweating while they seem to levitate in an arm balance.
People practicing enthusiastically to the rhythm of their own breath in concert with the sounds of feet sliding and planting on the mat with a sweet “swish, thump.”
On most days, we show up early and greet the day with vigor and strength. That is, unless it happens to be a Moon Day. When a full moon or new moon coincide with a day we practice, we take the opportunity to observe. We take an hour to rest our bodies and expand on the principals and practices of yoga that are not learned in chaturanga. We bridge the gap between the physical practice and the mental/spiritual practice. We explore breath work and meditative practices. We observe the cycles that we move through in our bodies our life and our practice.
Please consider this an open invite to all. Practice begins at 5:30 am at our Lacey location this Friday, and any time that a new or full moon lands on a weekday. Call us or email us if you have any questions.

Shanthi (Peace),
Ronny
